abstract florals painted + tattooed on Erica’s arm over three sessions. loved working on this and would be stoked to do more large scale projects like this one! almost a year ago Erica reached out to me with my dream project - full freedom to tattoo anything on her arm!! what started as one big floral piece grew to a floral sleeve and at our last session, we started planning how this would grow and continue on her back/side of her body. from the very first session I wanted to make sure she felt the piece was her and something she loves to own forever. After aligning on what she likes/doesn’t like, we set some parameters on the design: floral but not feminine/dainty, mix of texture and gradients, contemporary vibes, and something that had flexibility to be added onto over time. first session @dynastydesigns_sf last two @bituinstudio stenciling done with single use brushes and @natalienox stencil ink booking San Francisco late feb + onwards, info in bio ✈️ Denver April 1-3 ✈️ Brooklyn late May (dates tbd)

Hayoung Yun (she/they) is a Korean-American multidisciplinary artist. Inspired by the natural world, Korean craft, and the intangible, she brings a delicate, painterly style to her tattoo designs. For her, receiving tattoos is an empowering practice that mends invisible wounds, immortalizes memories, and transforms individuals to be their true self. Working with both black and color ink, Hayoung welcomes all body types, skin tones, and lived experiences.
