Hayoung Emily Yun is a Korean-American visual artist inspired by the natural world and the intangible. By weaving together "craft" and "fine art", she explores the universe between East and West, here and there, now and then. Her work is rooted in her cultural heritage as a form of understanding and reclaiming Self through a diasporic gaze. Hayoung (born 1996, New York) lives and works on Ramaytush Ohlone land (San Francisco Bay Area).

Beyond her visual art practice, Hayoung is a tattoo artist at Bituin Studio in San Francisco. She brings a delicate, contemporary style to her work shaped by her admiration for literati ink paintings and botanicals. Working with both black and color ink, she welcomes all body types, skin tones, and lived experiences.
